MAIN CENTRE
OPD MJ1 – Started in 2003 at 28, Robert Street, Kolkata -12.
- Maintaining our main objectives regular OPD being run daily Monday to Saturday at our Centre. Medical relief by way of Doctors consultation, free medicine, subsidised medicines & guidance for most economical treatment of diseases with financial support from our side is being imparted to the economically needy patients regularly. Collection of unused medicines and distribution against recognized doctor’s prescription free of cost is being done. Providing of Hospital bed, Air Beds, Walkers, Wheel chairs, Crutches, Oxygen Cylinders, Nebulizers, Komods and such equipments required in supportive treatment is being done.
SUNDAY OPDs
Considering the state of health care in Rural areas the idea of conducting Sunday OPDs was conceived. Manav Jyot Kolkata Centre is greatly indebted to Sri Manubhai Mehta & Late Sri Jassubhai Chaglani for sowing the seeds of the Sunday OPDs in rural areas.
OPD MJ2 – Started in 2004 at Sri BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, Bhasa, 24 Pargansa (N).
- OPD MJ2 running successfully for over 7 years and being operated in Bhasa every Sunday where now over 400 patients are given treatment with free medicines every week. This facility was started jointly with Sri BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha and who have now taken over and are managing the OPD themselves for the last four years. Recently operation have been put on hold due to construction work of the Temple.
OPD MJ3 – Started in 2006 at Park Circus but due to space problem had to be closed down
OPD MJ4 – Started at SRI RAWATPURA AROGYA NIKETAN, Ashutosh Mukherjee Rd., Bhowanipur, Kolkata.
- This OPD started in collaboration with Sri Rawatpura Sarkar Bhakt Mandal. This weekly OPD being operated by us every Sunday and over 250 such camps have been held where patients have been checked & given treatment with free medicines.
OPD MJ5 – Started in collaboration with NETAJI SANGH, Panchla, Uluberia
- This Centre was handed over to Netaji Sangh and is now being operated by them at Panchla, Uluberia, every Sunday. Over 50000 patients have availed treatment with free medicines from this OPD.
OPD MJ6 – Started in collaboration with Ramesh Ch. Parekh Jewellers operated by Savitriben Shantilal Parekh Charitable Trust at Gayatri Ashram, Rajhat, Bandel
- This Centre is being operated by us at Bandel every Sunday. Further Eye & Dental doctors have also been added to the general Physicians. Every week more than 300 persons avail the services and till date Over 100000 patients have availed treatment with free medicines from this OPD. Also, a Cow shelter (Gaushala) is being maintained there by the trust
OPD MJ7 – Started in collaboration with Sri Sthanakvasi Jain Sangh at Shantinagar, Liluah, Howrah.
- This Centre was being operated by us at Liluah every Sunday. Over 10000 patients have availed treatment with free medicines from this OPD.
OPD MJ8 – Started in collaboration with Satya Narayan Sai Mandir at Mullickpur, Baruipur,
- This Centre has started operating from September 2015 at Mullickpur every Sunday.
MOBILE OPD SEVA
To cater for the health care of the Slum dwellers in and around Kolkata idea of conducting Mobile OPDs was conceived. And in association with The Atha Foundation this Mobile OPD Seva was launched in April 2013. Manav Jyot Kolkata Centre is greatly indebted to Sri Kishorbhai Atha & Sri Dilipbhai Atha for their support for this Mobile OPD Seva.
- This MOPD is being operated by us normally every Saturdays and sometimes on Sundays. Over 3000 patients have availed treatment with free medicines from this MOPD till date.
